Unfortunately, that's really true. I have a doctor friend that looked at me like a deer in headlights when I asked about fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, food sensitivities, etc..
You know of 0 species that would strongly disagree, because those several million species don't have the capacity to agree or disagree on whether "wiping out humanity is a bad thing". And you don't speak for them, no matter how much caring about the planet you think you're doing.
If it's tedious, you're probably doing something wrong or sub-optimal. Or you're just dealing with a bit of hairy old javascript that probably needs a bit of refactoring in any case.
No, it's going to be more tedious 100% of the time. Now, if that tedium helps you in the long-rum is up for you to decide.
Freaking CNET....battling my ad-blockers, not giving up though. I don't even want to see that mess in console. The whole site is just a disaster, slowing to a crawl, as it tries to inject every freaking script known to man on the page.
I've been skirting around the idea of practicing mindfulness, but there's something that bothers me about aeon and "magazines" like it.
The articles always seem to try to be "contrarian" or "unique" for the sake of being different - "I've got something to tell you that you don't know and you haven't thought about".
I get that it's pretty much the point of aeon, but at some point it just gets annoying. It's almost like any kind of insight into something is way down the totem pole, below some kind of "shock, contrarian, unique" factor.

The reason for this unexpected behavior is that when the atoms in contact are all of the same kind, there is no way for the atoms to “know” that they are in different pieces of copper. When there are other atoms, in the oxides and greases and more complicated thin surface layers of contaminants in between, the atoms “know” when they are not on the same part.
