Not necessarily, I'd rather have my phone die at 40% or something, at least I can investigate then, and replace my battery. In the other hand, throttling my system and hiding it from me...
Would be curious to know more about your experience, I mostly use CakePHP, and have minimal experience with Symfony 2 and Laravel, but I always go back to CakePHP.
LESS compiled to CSS, mainly use it because it looks better and I don't have to deal with selector weight, also variables are helpful for colors - and some mixins here and there when necessary
I can count the number of multiple-choice tests I had on the fingers of my hands, and all of them were tests preparing for tech certifications.
When discussing the multiple choice format between students, we've always thought that it's way easier to get the guess the right answer between choices than to show how you got there.
It's even worse outside of math classes, say history, and you're asked "when did $COUNTRY get its independence", obviously, it's much easier when you have a list of choices to choose from.
Apple has a horde of people waiting to buy its devices, it will take off thanks to Apple's marketing and then 2-3years from now, they'll start claiming that they invented smart watches.
Maybe dead in the US, where I live (Morocco), daily deals websites are growing like weed, and many users "discovered" online payment through them, IMO, they're not going anywhere.
I don't know about the US, but in Europe (and Morocco where I live), many freelance use "sales engineers" (technico-commercial in French, not sure if it's the correct translation), this person gets a commission for every gig he lands for the freelancer.
