So from what I understand you are looking at a game that incorporates characters that are much more re-marketable than the standard fare of video games in the United States. Having the ability to re-market characters could really build up a brand or series identity... Some American game studios have already thought of making characters like Laura Croft and Gordan Freeman and even making these characters into a series of movies, but I don't know about how it has been applied to iOS/casual gaming.
How are you going to do pricing of upgrades aka DLC?
Have you considered pricing it at ~>=$1.99 instead of $.99 depending upon how much content is included in the original game?
The unity and its ilk might work great....on a netbook or convertible tablet. How will it work with many terminal/firefox/vms open? With the dock and bottom bar it looks like the worst of gnome 2 and os x. XFCE/iceWM/LXDE/gnome 2.x imo are much better for getting work done. How is this different then the ipadesque desktop of os x with all applications lined up in rows?
The freedom for the government to do what they like through AAPL and the patriot act. Sure Jobs did improve the desktop computing experience in some ways, but apple was not exactally an advocate of privacy or freedom. I didn't drink the kool-aid.
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

What is with the SJ worship on reddit/HN? Apple continues to make overpriced hardware (compare to T and W series thinkpads xD) which almost always sacrifices form for function. Want to put an esata/fibre/ port on your laptop? - only one MBP allows it. OS X is a toy os for people who don't want to run windows (excell/MSVS) or linux. Sure, put the iWhatever in the museum of modern art, but just about any business-clas laptop will run linux.
For smartphones, sure. For desktops this is not going to happen for a long time if ever. When will AutoCAD, UGS-NX, MAYA, Photoshop, Quark Express, MatLAB, Mathematica (other than wolfram alpha), and even more specialized medical/industrial/scientific software be available for android? Will there even be decent gaming under java? (angry birds does not count)
