sorry ... but this is likely a hoax maybe phishing. It's hosted on a sites.google.com account with the old google logo. Who is up-voting it? Can you give some more information about the legitimacy of the event?
Hmm, but if you browse the older activities under "Recent Site Activity", two names pops up: Allyson Gee and Nilma Rubin... LinkedIn shows both of them as employees of Google.

It's very obviously not built by google. For starters the map is done wrong. The logo is old. I could go on but I think that is enough.
But I also don't think it's a phishing attempt. What they "collect" is basic information that a simple first name last name google can return for most of the people who fill it out.
And to top it all off, they have a radio button that says "By submitting this application you agree too ..." that actually has to be selected +_+

Well I hope not. I sent in my info. Thankfully nothing that isn't public anyway.
Definitely seems sketchy to me. Particularly this line on the application form:

I'm pretty sure it's a hoax ... check there's no information about the event organizers. All forms etc. are from
free google products (forms, drive maps) and at the stage right now it's highly unlikely in my opinion that google would host an iOS hackathon ;)
I wonder what they would gain by this. And they would know how quickly it will get shut down by google. The most damaging info I gave them is a list of apps I've made. So, one more customer for me? Yay.

On a side note (unrelated and a bit self-promoting) ... it makes me sad to see a hoax like that getting so much up votes on hacker news, when I just submitted one of my blog posts last week and did not get even one comment or up vote :S
