Maybe racism isn't in itself really about race but a rooted "power trip" pathology which also manifests itself as racism. If so then this behaviour should be observed in other aspects of these people's lives. How would these people behave with their own peers? Are they controlling? How violent would they be against their own? Do they like to look at their peers on their knees? Etc.
I feel like this is more about power than anything else. And you can observe this behaviour on "non-racists" (or activists for a lack of a better word) as well.
