They had me until point 5. Yes, systemic race and gender discrimination are most definitely real and most definitely problems. No, you don't have to tie it in to everything.
I do agree with their main point though. It is indeed unequal. It probably always has been, except that until recently it didn't matter so much since companies saw themselves as part of the community. Now, when corporate greed has reached gargantuan levels, it's become a problem.
