No you should not care unless you are a shareholder in one of these Ai ponzi companies. For the rest of the world Chinese companies matching and open sourcing llm's will keep 100 or so tech oligarchs taking over all the world economic output for themselves as all the idiot politician are unwilling to tax wealth.
Jellyfin has a lot of alternative unofficial apps partly because of it ui as some people that did not like the look built something else. That is the case for almost every client OS
Yes today but the statements coming out of people are like as if the tech is static and not changing everyday. It was the same for programming it can't do this it can't do that till it is able to now.
A talented creative with a vision can now direct AI to build things that would have otherwise cost millions or been entirely impossible. I don’t understand the myopic view people have when it comes to this technology. Just three or four years ago, we saw the exact same skepticism with programming. People insisted it can't do this and it can't do that, but many of those things are possible today.
I am talking about the $30 billion that the opposition was making up. My point was that even those made up numbers for nuclear were still more expensive than installing solar and batteries.
Yeah this is why a lot of people were thinking that the Australian opposition asking for spending $40-50 billions for nuclear that would come online in 20-30 years and to keep using coal and gas till then were being stupid.
Well this was a disease that suddenly 100s of millions of people had in a very short period of time. Ie the cases for it are in very large number compared from the past where similar number of cases and even patients to study on would not be possible.
Mi 8 has a very good camera and battery life I am guessing it could be used as live streaming phone in china so still useful despite being an older device
Why are you using all of US then compare the internet of most US cities and to most cities in Europe and Asia. US has a problem of false advertisement it is portrayed as the free market but reality it is filled with monopolies/duopolies/captured markets in most industries and americans are propagandized to believe stupidly that it is a good thing.
Yup I use llm to write scripts for me to process data I don't ask the llm to process the data themselves. Even when I wrote something for my day trading I used llm write scripts that do all the processing and predict price movement from that the more data is pre processed the more all the llm come up with similar trades.
Bugs are bugs security vulnerablities or not it's good for open source project when someone actually goes through the code even if it is with an llm. As most people assume someone has gone through the code when it might not be true.
I think you are giving the word "smart" a meaning or implication that it no longer has or is used with. It is common to say Google Search or Siri got smarter/better or dumber/worse, so I don't see saying LLMs getting smarter is any different.
Prs are too pad cv's or novice users wanting something and vibe coding it themselves. Jellyfin player repos see a lot these kinds of prs so unlikely to be new users
where its sits with the AI bubble I think Oracle is the 1 of the major companies apart from the OpenAI that would go belly up once the AI bubble crashes.
There should be a time limit to protectionism and a scale where tariffs on imports come down overtime. Otherwise you will get what you currently have in the US ie huge cars that cost a lot of money to make and run. US supposedly the free economy is the country where almost every industry is an entrenched virtual monopoly or a duopoly and with it's political finance system they are eating into every industry.
