That doesn't explain why it's abuse, though. How does the company benefit by paying this foreigner $200k + benefits + immigration fees/legal bills compared to hiring a US citizen? Abuse is e.g. bringing in cheap foreign labor at below US market rate. This is not that.
It can be 10-100x faster for some tasks already. I've had it build prototypes in minutes that would have taken me a few hours to cobble together, especially in domains and using libraries I don't have experience with.
It sounds like you're saying AI is just doing brute force with a lot of force, but I can't imagine that's actually what you think, so would you mind clarifying?
EverQuest was my first real brush with agency. I was still a teenager but I loved researching strategies and game mechanics to figure out how my guild and I could play more effectively, and it paid off. We were never world first, but we got closer than we should have for the small server we were on. The feeling that the work I was doing was contributing to the success of an entire organization of people, and that this group of adults was happy to defer to me as long as my work ethic and ideas were good, was so much more powerful and motivating than anything I'd experienced in school. I don't think I felt that empowered again for another ~decade, well into my "real" career.
That is still hyperventilating in a technical sense, as is the breathing you're doing for a minute beforehand; both will result in lowering your CO2. If you're actually holding your breath and going under water, please take an intro freediving class. So many people die every year just because they don't have the basic safety training necessary to turn this activity from extraordinarily dangerous to quite safe.
Get a cheap pulse oximeter and try it yourself if you're curious. It will not cause your oxygen levels to change in any meaningful way barring some very serious health issues.

Hey, small bug to report: When you share your stats, the date seems to be based off local time, not the day of the test. So like here in PT, it's 4/23, but I just did tomorrow's quiz (because it releases at 9pm PT = midnight ET); the share text should say 4/24 but it still says 4/23. Or put another way, I shared two different results with my group chat today that both said 4/23.
I'm just pointing out how implausible the claim is that the vast majority of Americans are far worse off than Spaniards. Of course there's more to life than money and GDP/capita is an imperfect measure, but the median American leads a very comfortable life.
Are companies hiring enough for this to be viable and to get 20% of first year salary? I thought all of that had died down significantly, but I haven't been following closely.
