It's a mix of personal interest and seeking to develop an expertise. It's also a lot of discipline. I wrote more publicly in the early part of my career, but my writing is more company-internal these days.
Admissibility in court feels like the barest minimum of requirements here, to say nothing of the other services like counceling the linked thread discusses.
For the arrow coming from github to the cdn, I would bet that's a deployment where the existing docs site gets deployed as a lambda. From there, CDN calls that aren't cached go to the lambda which are then served up.
I left Google after 3 years to join a startup in the project management space. It was clear that I could work on a product that made lots of money (ads) or was in front of lots of people (maps), but I couldn't actually make a difference in how the company operated. So I joined as employee #2 of a startup and eventually managed some people.
I now work at Amazon. I understand that I'm working for a company who will pay me very well in exchange for me to show up and write code and not think about engineering any other time without prior allowance (lol opensource). This is a bargain that I feel fine with, now that I've entered into it with eyes open.
Eventually, the money won't be enough to keep me and I'll look around for a medium sized startup that sells thing to people for money and has a sustainable business model (aka not into hypergrowth).
Save all of the assets that are loaded? I suspect that if you published your asset bundle, others would figure out the greasemonkey script to let you just keep that UI until they change their APIs. :)
I believe there are logical holes in the article posted.

This is saying that while cops shoot more blacks than the population would indicate, we also arrest them at a higher rate. Because they are arrested at a higher rate, we would expect the shooting rate to be high b/c they have a higher-than-population-level-would-indicate interaction with police.
So.. it's unclear as to whether there's selection bias here. Are blacks given disproportionate police contact which increases arrest rate (aka differential exposure)? This would also lead to the same circular logic.
In there, it says the rate of each stage of the prison pipeline is approximately the same across race. So to explain why 4x the number of black people are in the pipeline than the population would point to the pre-sentencing side of the world.
I've poked at trying to build this multiple times for the last 10 years, but always ended up looking at the wikipedia XML and just balking.
The one difference that mine theoretically would have had is that I think it would be rad to include the paragraph you found the link along the edge in the graph, so you could see a little story.
Also, excluding years and places to make the routes more "interesting" (e.g. longest path under a limit without cycles).
It being stated that it's zero tolerance and "well, give him one more chance b/c he's a top performer" [especially in small orgs with young employees </bias>] aren't quite the same thing. People are willing to make exceptions for their implicit biases.
