I used to work at LinkedIn (owned by microsoft) and about 2 years ago they announced engineering was switching from zoom/slack to teams. There was significant uproar and LinkedIn leadership ended up reversing the decision. To my knowledge LinkedIn engineering is still on zoom/slack.
Speed and uptime are also features. If customers like speed/uptime (they do) we need to make sure management prioritizes them and understands how certain features will work against speed/uptime.

We should take into account the amount of time he spends being recorded, the frequency of the incidents, and the trends of the incidents over time. I think most everyone has said something wrong in the last 12 years. If it happened 12 years ago and hasn't happened since, then I'll give him a pass. If it's a repeating thing, then I'll judge more harshly.
Ive seen them accompany people to retrieve stolen bicycles. In my experience, they're not interested in doing detective work to locate stolen items, but if you know where the stolen item is, they will accompany you to retrieve the item.
I think sometimes we are quick to discount the affect that home life has on children's school performance. Part of the reason school's are better in wealthy areas is because children in wealthy areas tend to have better home life than children in poor areas.
To what extent do black computer science grads have worse job placement than white/asian ones? At my employer for every position we're required to interview at least one underrepresented demographic (basically female, black or latino), but recruiters are struggling to find candidates. It gives me the impression that there simply aren't many computer science grads in those demographics
