been playing around with similar stuff as well just for fun but I'm not happy with any solution so far :( -- if there is anything you can share I'd love to take a peek :)
Any suggestions for UK alternatives for cutting and bending the steel sheets needed for the chassis to the suggested US company in the video? I’ve reached out to a couple for quotes a couple of days back but haven’t heard back yet.
I’m not really sure how much of a problem this truly is and I would have appreciated if the author made a little bit more effort and backed at least some of their claims with some citations as I’d genuinely interested in leaning more. The way this is presented feels very hand wavy and over sensationalized.
> Your fight or flight is stuck on ON mode. Total sympathetic nervous system dominance.
> You can’t just snap out of it, you blew your dopaminergic load and are literally burning neurons.
> No parallel processing, your brain cant’t handle it.
> Productivity plummets, meaning evaporates, creativity disappears…
> Direct correlation between IQ and noise tolerance.
> Our GABA system can’t keep up with modern demands for inhibition.
The overall style is also very much to my personal liking.
Unabomber picture with an edited quote was my first issue.
I’d expect social acceptance and access to tiktok/ig to go hand in hand. Was the same with access to tv programs and video games when growing up in the early 90s.
Congrats on the launch, this looks really nice. Some examples would be really nice. I’m currently on mobile and tried to sign up and use the app but the ui is not very responsive. That’s not an issue as I didn’t expect it to be very usable, it’s more that I wanted to check out what it looks like.
Some very first thoughts on the landing page from someone who probably is in the target audience as I’ve used quite a few similar apps so far. (I did not get to actually try the service due to the lack of integration with bank data)
There is little of substance on the landing page. As a user who is interested in using this, I’d want to learn what features the app has, what is different and better than the competitors, and at the very least see what the app looks like.
Video guide of the features would also be very interesting.
You mention it doesn’t integrate with banks. That is unfortunate. Any thoughts or supporting csv imports or an api to allow users to diy?
Happened to be in sf last weekend and saw a cicada 3301 poster with what seemed to be a qr code with dots that didn’t scan in the gg park. Seems people still bother with this.
Questions I didn't find answers to at a first glance: you're calling this "the most private personal finance app", and then mention e2ee, but there is no mention of why encryption is needed. Does the app offer sync across devices? Is there a mobile version? Can I use it offline or does it need to talk to a server?
I'd personally happily pay for a good offline only finance app, or one that uses iCloud app sync or whatever it's called, but I'd probably not pay for an excellent online only app.
I assume you might be able to build some sort of word or concept embeddings? You should be able to compress a text into its concepts, and when you decompress it the text itself might be different but shohld retain the same meaning.
