This looks less like a workflow engine and more like a small durable execution primitive. That isn't meant as a criticism, I actually find that smaller abstraction more appealing given how many general purpose DE products exist, but "durable agent workflows" made me expect scheduling, etc.
Loved the store, and the mailer as a kid. Really inspired me to build things. Really wish more stores like it still existed. Anytime I'm back in MKE, it's one of my first stops.
I don't think it's meant to be literal, more tongue-in-cheek. Obviously, developers aren't going to be playing table tennis while they wait for their task to finish. Since it's async, you can do other things. For most developers, that's just going to mean another task.
I think that's the point AI agents are trying to sell. Spend more time on the type of coding tasks you want to do, like coding cool new code, and not the tasks that you don't want to do.
I think they are suggesting that you can focus on the code that you want to write - whatever that is. Especially since the first line is, "Jules does coding tasks you don't want to do." I took the first image as being someone working on the computer. Or, take back your time doing whatever you want - e.g. cycling, table tennis, etc.
Probably because they are just a hobbyist and not an expert in the field (nor do they assert that they are). Maybe be a little kinder on the internet. It sounds like it was just a minor oversight.
Largely because it's still not seen as favorable by the public to prioritize pedestrian safety over vehicular parking/speed - even in liberal areas where this should be easy. We are a car-centric society, and I'm not sure when that'll change (unfortunately).
If you have the money, it's still a great place to live. While it does have its problems, a lot of it is right-wing propaganda. I've thought about leaving, but the one thing that keeps me in the Bay Area is the sheer density of smart people. You are surrounded by ambition. I have yet to find another city in the US that has the same energy.
