Congrats on the launch! This looks super helpful. I've found in previous roles that formalizing processes in something more rigid vs. excel actually makes things much more efficient. How do you see yourself differ from something like https://www.workiva.com/ or https://golayer.io/?
Working on a pure email group challenge product. Basically you sign up with friends to complete a challenge and the product is almost entirely delivered through emails.
A lot of the parts in these planes + the automation supplied to build the planes are from companies owned by western companies. China is trying to own more parts of the process (Broetje acquisition for automation, things like Kuka and other industrial companies are getting bought up by Chinese companies).
Aside from the way his application was rejected, you’d think if the city was valuing the ability of the company underlying the scooter service to provide a stable service, good support and jobs (even if contract work) they wouldn’t put that much faith in a startup with just their series A raised right? I don’t know the economics of these scooter companies, but they must be burning cash to operate and the companies SF ended up choosing have plenty of cash to burn.
Seems so difficult to maintain ownership of a digital image asset. As soon as you distribute on a website that isn’t built for creatives and does nit have a heavy watermark it’s free for anyone to grab. Even as a big company how do you audit someone’s work for plagiarism if you hire a designer?
Seems like gyms would crack down hard on this. I would imagine the utilization of an average gym membership for most box gyms is under 50% on a full day basis. Gyms also build their capacity on these assumptions, so other than being a sourcing tool (like Classpass) I don't see how this will work.
I find a lot of online ecommerce sites to try to associate coupons or discounts directly to your account/email maybe to avoid these coupon sharing platforms.
Does anyone have better alternatives to meetup? Apart from the salesy events I still find plently of good events. I use it for pickup tennis games, hiking groups and the off data science meetup.
I wonder what the difference is between this particular livechat and the livechat for say the league of legends world finals. There was definitely twitch style livechat emote spamming in that chat.. i guess Youtubes just keeping an eye on that one while this one was caught with some automated ruleset that identified this as abusive behavior?
Maybe in trading where information is standardized and in digital form. But for the most part actual financial advisory type banking or investments in private/public companies is still reliant on excel until frameworks for labelled financial information becomes more widely used/implemented in both public and private markets (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XBRL).
This doesn't talk much at all about their business. I've heard through people in the industry their paid retention is extremely high. It's not like $2,000 exercise equipment has not existed before. I'm sure everyone knows someone with a bowflex, norditrack or even some of the upper price range equipment from a Walmart or Costco.
Being "Fit" and Healthy is always a moving target with most people and the work to result feedback loop is probably one that most people wouldn't have the discipline to follow through on. If you could stick a $ value on the feeling of being in a community, maybe a Peloton or Soulcycle membership is worth it.
Know someone who works there. Their display is really cool (fet like a Nintendo 3DS with more viewing angle and depth). They were trying to build theoir own app ecosystem that leveraged their tech. I guess their target market just didn’t find value in paying 2x for a phone with a cool display.
Economics and financial planning. Dont think any economic theory is perfect, but some help connect different systems in a framework where you can try to work out the motives behind things you read in the news.
Definitely similar and the green cubes dont really show scale per capita at all. Didnt try to demonstrate anything other than to show some context for where Norways energy resources go compared to other countries.
