THe settings siutation is so annoying, there are still so many options locked away inside control panel and the new settings app has a few that dont exist in control panel, its so fragmented.
Something you are not accounting for is that rolling stock is fully private still, and a huge huge chunk of the profits. Operators don't make much money, the govt owns and runs the rails themselves, but the rollling stock is where a lot of the money goes
This is a super annoying quirk, lots of things don't work well if you're using workspace as a normal gmail account, and they don't quite warn you up front.
For a while I was running a windows VM with the iCloud for windows utility that syncs your photos to a folder on your windows PC, iirc it worker reasonably well as an 'automated' sync solution. (under the surface the folder was a share on my NAS, which in turn fed into a separate immich instance)
I have a 5950X system that will just randomly shut down, I've RMA'd the CPU, tried swapping the RAM, GPU, PSU and the motherboard in different combinations. I cannot track down a specific issue and it just won't be stable. I've given up and decided to discard the PC of theseus and build a new one -_-.
Not sure on docker desktops specifics but usually large companies have enterprise/business licencing available and specifically do not deal with this, and do not want to manually deal with this, because they can use SSO & dynamically assign licenses to user groups etc.
My PC if put to sleep will completely randomly just wake up in the middle of the night. Its infuriatingly annoying to figure out why/which app is causing it as its not easily reproducible
I use one called KyBook atm that i've got no real complaints about. If you can set up calibre-web or something similar you can get local network sync working and it can see your library when you're at home and download the books to the device for when you're away.
Probably just preference but I hate when apps put things in the documents folder, thats where I want to put the things I've created specifically, not automated config files etc. There should be a 'Preferences' folder or something to separate the chod in AppData from the useful stuff.
We already do electricity -> hydrogen generation, the hydrogen is then stored in underground pumped storage (empty gas wells), and can be used in place of natural gas.
Although presumably if you set up one of these facilities you need it running 24/7 to be profitable not just when there is a lull in demand elsewhere.
The coolant inlet flange on a friends ~2015 730d, made of plastic, cracked recently. To remove & replace it you have to pull the whole inlet manifold and a whole host of other bits off.
The amount of times the keyboard just blocks some button, a setting is nested 5/6 menus deep, things that used to be slick no longer just work.
I set alarms on my iPad sometimes, theres a floating popup, you can't dismiss it by clicking away like you would expect, you have to click the x, [image](https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/set-an-alarm-ipadec8a36...)
