That is a not only a very simplistic view, it is also incorrect. It puts blame on some inherent personality trait of Arabs and "muslims". I would be more interested in seeing a thought out analysis by the OP, that takes into account the complex geopolitical landscape of the last 100 years, including armament of these so called terrorists by the US, drone strikes that kill Afghan and Pakistani children, etc.
Right. Most people in the west don't know about The Emergency [1] following the fraud that got her elected. Then her political and social interference with the Sikh community (part of the most vocal opposition to the Emergency [2]), which lead to Operation Bluestar [3] and subsequently her assassination [4].
These events form the worst part of Indian politics since independence. Her rise to power was not due to her personality or skill. She was simply the daughter of Nehru, the first prime minister of India and a close aide of MK Gandhi.
I do not question the charity and helpfulness of these nations. Neither do I find any issues with their foreign policies. My point was directed more to how the society (not the government) deals with the immigrants [1].

That is not a fair assessment. The social landscape in both regions is very different. The nordic region does not have the same influx of immigrants as North America. And increasingly, North African and Middle Eastern (primarily Muslim) immigrants (and born-citizen second generations) are being marginalized [1].
I wonder how the Nordic nations will react when more and more immigrants start moving there to start businesses, if that turns out to be the case in the future.
