So far about one hundred independent junk removal teams have signed up around the country. I have been running campaign on Google Adwords to get customers. We have done jobs in Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Antonio. Hopefully many more to come!
I am new to programming and spent about a year learning the basics of PHP in order to get the site up and running. I have a lot to left to learn, but I put out an mvp.
I considered myself an idea guy...but I spent the last 11 months trying to learn php, html and css and I finally just launched a company. I probably could have done it in one third of the time with a developer on board, but it's been rewarding to do it on my own and learn so much. Now I need a marketing and seo guy...but I'm going to try to figure that out too :)
Wonderful gadget. Once the hardware evolves into something prettier I am all in! I am excited for a future when my phone, or just simply my presence, unlocks all my doors...especially my car door.
Boy, this is exactly what I have been thinking! Quora gets all the press (and it is a great service), but Stack Overflow/Exchange have been so much more helpful to me because of its specificity. Plus, Stack's game mechanics really work on me and encourage me to want to write good answers and help people.
Aaaaaaaaaaand this is the best news I have heard all week. We have eight 100GB accounts at my company. Shared quotas and central admin are what we have been dreaming about. I started using Dropbox in its beta, and it is beautiful to watch this baby grow up.
About a year ago I got a quote from Geico.com for car insurance. When I got to the purchase screen, I decided to leave and check prices from other companies. Then I went back to Geico the second time because it turned out they had the best price. To my surprise Geico offered a 15% lower rate the second time! I guess they figured they better wow me to get a conversion the second time around. Pretty great.
