Very cool project. I was really struck by this comment:
> Dial out to a short list of family contacts. It's not something I think about much, but when I was a kid there was a phone on the wall and once I could reach it, I could use it. Now, if you're not old enough to have a cell phone, you also can't call anyone at all.
That's not something I've ever thought about, but is a really huge change in what kids can do. I was always allowed to call over to a friend's house and see if they could play.
Auterion is building an open software platform for drones to transform and enable the use of widespread enterprise robotics programs. The Auterion Suite is the web platform to enable these enterprise robotics programs. We're building the infrastructure for widespread analytics, data management/processing, and deployment/hosting of custom user applications.
Think IFTTT + robotics.
On the web team, we're looking for senior engineers to start building out major greenfield extensions to the core platform.
Our stack is: Vue, NodeJS (TS), Postgres, Redis, AWS, Docker
SkinIO (https://skinio.com) is building software for AI-powered skin imaging on mobile devices. We provide tools for dermatologists and primary-care physicians to perform total-body photography and mole-mapping in-office. In layman's terms, we write software to take photograph patient's entire bodies and then automatically identify and track every mole on their body to detect new moles and changes over time.
Our goal is not to replace doctors with ML models, but to empower them to work better and work faster so that we can extend their reach to more people and save more lives.
