Hey HN! I'm Thomas, the maker of ClipPanda. The timing is a bit unfortunate with Sora :D but I built a tool to easily create short video clips using gpt4, Elevenlabs and stock videos and music.
Right now it's still quite basic (but fully functional).
The goal is to turn this into a full fledged video editing app using mainly prompts, with support for multiple clips, AI video and more formatting options in the near future.
Thanks for checking it out, and let me know what I could do to make it better :) Thanks!
Hey HN! I'm Thomas, the maker of PageExperiment. I have always struggled with properly adding A/B tests on my websites as the current solutions are mainly focused on huge enterprise clients, and are typically very difficult to implement, that's why I built this.
Right now it's still quite basic (but fully functional). In the near future I'm planning to make this into a complete experimentation platform with:
- showing individual user flows/timelines/analytics
- AI to automatically improve headlines
- show funnel stats (like visit -> scroll to pricing -> buy etc)
Thanks for checking it out, let me know what you think :)
Thomas
I very much relate, I also feel like I have friends and family that care about me, but the anxiousness keeps coming back from time to time. It's hard to beat it completely.
yeah I guess this is probably individual, but I would argue it's definitely possible to define for yourself how "noisy" (or time-wasting) certain sources of information are (which doesn't mean they can't be entertaining).
I personally experienced this when I was literally going to 9gag tens if not hundreds of times per day. It was more of a habit or addiction than a conscious choice at that point
I completely redesigned the website with a login system, up/downvoting, discussion forums per trend and a reward system so people get points when they're good at predicting hypes.
I'm looking for some feedback on whether this is something you would personally find useful – whether I should continue working on it or not :) Thanks!
You'd probably have to limit the allowed number of "guesses" per day/week. But even then there's a risk of people trying to game the system (creating multiple accounts etc)
Currently not much, that will be one of the challenges. Later on – gamification, how well are you at predicting upcoming trends in certain cities/categories.
