Sequelize is one of the slowest (if not the slowest) SQL ORM for Node. node-orm or node-sql are much faster.
This detail shows that this kind of benchmark as nice as it reads could misleads since the authors have much experience with JVM based stuff. Thus, the JVM based framework tests seem to be much more optimized or only most performant libs were chosen whilst the other framework tests just lack domain knowledge.
Vim definitely appeals to minimalists and it's non apparent design and GUI makes it sexy. But I totally agree that's it's not worth to learn Vim nowadays and people using Vim in general just want to show that they are some real hackers.

I don't think so. HN is YC is full of real entrepreneurs and risk takers. Most on HN are tech founders or at least employed but with having side projects and ambitions to get real founders. The OP is working at Facebook, proud of being an employee and having no side projects (otherwise he wouldn't blog about Gowalla years later).
Excuse my harsh words, but HN is for tech founders, for real entrepreneurs. This is just the wrong place for someone who was once a founder but is now employed for years (and writing such confusing posts).

Sorry but you are nothing more than an office drone in a cooperation writing about achievements far in the past. Calling this post "Playing by your own rules" must be pure irony -- how can an ordinary product manager at Facebook play by his own rules? You are employed man, you play by others' rules and your post is a day dream, just a weak try to get some attention as a boring product manager and covering your endless desperation. Start something new and forget the past.
There's no place except on HN where Meteor gets regular attention, upvotes and always the same fan posts (i.e., "Meteor is going to be my goto technology", "The Meteor guys are moving fast").

I don't know, the idea sounds nice, but I doubt that this a venture case and will scale and fits into PG's 'Startup = Growth' strategy since it's just a service which requires tons of manpower (except it pivots into a marketplace/leadgensite for lawyers offering a defined divorce package but we had similar models 10yrs ago and they just do not work). The landing page could be stolen from one of ClickBank's merchants (you know those shady ultra long landing pages which want to sell useless stuff).
I understand that YC startups are proud to be part of YC and thus, put the YC label on their site and everywhere else but often (and in particular here) it's the only USP such startups have.
