I think it's a great idea and looks like it's well put together. You may have seen my criticism above about how to "login", this is more a criticism of FB, not fandalism (but change it, make it optional).
"But, dude, you're asking for the key to my front door and we've never even drunk a beer together"! -Well put. I'm a musician and would likely love to utilize the site but I'll never find out because I won't support this sort of intrusion. F_ck fb. You can grow without them... in spite of them even!
I think it's an interesting argument. Google+ might be Google's biggest success, and also sew the seeds of their downfall. Now that G+ is spreading into Gmail, there is no going back.
It's an interesting idea. It seems to me that so much of the revenue side depends on scale. How can you monetize something if you aren't sure how its going to be used etc? The user experience often drives how a site can be monetized... you know?
What is a brand? It's a symbol that identifies a good or service. The best brands are instantly recognizable, and apple with a bite missing... or a guy in black turtleneck. Both were brilliant moves.
He branded himself as "the" innovator of our times. Was the turtleneck intentional marketing?
