"Bush derangement syndrome?" At some point during the Bush years the New York Times seems to have been hit with said syndrome and devolved into nothing more than another partisan rag.
Bush is mentioned three times in the article. Guess how many times Obama is mentioned? Not once. The most powerful and influential person in this issue, Not Mentioned Once.
So what if Bush implemented these policies. So what if by some miracle they were able to prosecute and convict him. We'd still have the status quo.
Articles like the one above are the very reason I hold "The Paper of Record" in almost as low esteem as outlets such as Fox News.
How does the Feminist movement square itself with the fact that many women actually like being prized for their beauty and sex appeal?
I'd like to start a campaign called "It's cool." It would require some form of an indicator. A sticker or button perhaps? Women who like having their beauty and/or sex appeal noticed could wear it on their person. Posters with these women could have it on display. Men would know, "It's cool" she likes that I appreciate her looks.
Would this satisfy the Feminists? Doubtful. More than likely these women would be attacked and ridiculed for what makes them happy.
Unfortunately I have no choice but to deal with racist people from time time and am constantly repeating the phrase, "not all (insert race) people are like that."

What do you mean by "White People?" You do know there are tons of Asian ethnicities and I'd imagine many of them would take offense at being lumped in with western "white people."
Ok, time to call most of you out. Why's this company different? When nameless corporations lay everyone off I usually here how broken capitalism is and how huge companies are evil, etc., but in this case I see more people trying to rationalize it.

The majority of comments from the illustrious Hacker News crowd seem to indicate we are disturbingly at ease with the Persecution of homeschoolers.
I feel as long as students are making the grade on standardized tests, there shouldn't be an issue.
This works out perfect for both parties. Whatever aspect of public schools the parent takes exception to can be avoided and the kid still get's an eduction.
By forcing parents to send their children to public schools you are in effect giving the perception of indoctrination.
The reason we don't have a solution thus far is the fundamental disagreement between those who want a total government solution(public option/healthcare) and those that want a complete free enterprise solution.
The idea of the government deciding who lives and dies creeps me out. If you are democrat remember power is cyclical and one day a republican may be deciding whether you or your loved ones live or die.
I don't have the perfect answer, but I know it's not either extreme.
