These companies are filled with left activists in people ops and PR, who are much more vocal and active then the technology department. The bully the company into these positions.
Southern European here have worked with Nothern European companies and southern European ones. I can attest that management is the greatest difference. It is part due to HR how the hire and check people for management position ( it is loosely a series of questions + his CV) while even for the Junior developer role you can have developer programming tests plus theory question. It is more reliable, and I have seen time and time again bad management that his hired due to the cv and it is just bad professional, can't organize anything doesn't take decisions etc etc and the problem is that it can't be fired.
But also Capital accumulation, when you start from a good starting point where you have the capital to invest in IT. The earnings are exponentially greater, so the effects on Germany from the IT revolution should be greater then in Southern Europe.
Aside from the topic, the lichess.org captcha on inscription is a chess challenge? I advise against, that is one thing that computers are better than us, and goes everything what a captcha should be xD
Science is science, and findings in science, can be refuted in a science impartial way. But no new discoveries will ever justify the holocaust, slavery or segregation. Because one thing is the difference in race, another thing is plain murder and racism. But we can blame this, on the inability of humans, to discern things, and make extremes of trivial stuff. I know in a way this new findings will bring new (neo) forms of racism, because that's the way we operate. We tend to elevate our self's, that some how we are better then everyone else, and that in a group, that group has to be better then everyone else.
It's always nice to find a fellow documentary watcher, and here in hacker news, just proves to me that there's no better way to end an hard day, than to watch a nice documentary in bed.
Everything is soothing in a documentary to watch in bed, soothing voice of the narrator, and the interesting facts that are brought to threw the screen.
Of course that it's not the best way to learn. but after an hard day, there is no better way.
