sagark·8 anni fa·discussFor a more visual demo about what this article is talking about, here's a (real-speed) GIF of posting a tweet from BOOM running on EC2 F1:https://twitter.com/firesimproject/status/103126763730350899...
sagark·8 anni fa·discussKeystone has been demonstrated to run on Rocket Chip on FPGAs using FireSim (https://fires.im). There are docs on how to do so here: http://docs.keystone-enclave.org/en/latest/Getting-Started/R...There's also a branch of BOOM (https://github.com/riscv-boom/riscv-boom/tree/secureboom) that supports Keystone, we're just waiting for it to be merged into master.
sagark·8 anni fa·discussI can give some insight on BOOM - Chris Celio, the grad student who built BOOM, recently graduated, but there are some new students now who are picking up on the effort. Expect to see more work on BOOM in the coming year.More recently, we've integrated it into our FPGA simulation flow, FireSim: https://github.com/firesim/firesimYou can see BOOM doing some "real stuff" here and spin up your own (on an FPGA on EC2 F1): https://fires.im/2018/08/19/firesim-1.3.1-with-BOOM-support....
sagark·9 anni fa·discussThis looks great! Did you try Logisim when you were trying out other tools? How does this compare? We've used Logisim for a long time teaching 61C at Berkeley (e.g. https://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~cs61c/su15/projs/05/ ) but development seems to have been discontinued.

sagark·14 anni fa·discussI'd definitely recommend a thinkpad. However if you buy a high-end model with optimus graphics, you'll need to use some workarounds like these:http://sagark.org/optimal-ubuntu-graphics-setup-for-thinkpad...http://sagark.org/thinkdisp-about-installation/*Disclaimer, I wrote this guide / app
