The idea is that it's a message board that starts with a general topic, and allows you to drill down lower into more defined topics for discussion.
The interesting part for me, is that I can start with a very vague topic, like entertainment and view all discussions going on about it. Then, if I choose to, I can go into a single topic, like a specific movie and discuss and view only topics about that particular film.

I am just one guy, making this site in my spare time. I don't even feel that comfortable posting on this site, as most of the projects here and their authors are much more experienced.
I love message boards. I've always been on them, and love sharing ideas and opinions, and spreading knowledge and information.
I wanted to create a place where people could find and talk about anything, so I had the idea of Cliq. I wanted it so much, I taught myself programming and began to make Cliq a reality. A few years later, I have what I consider to be a functional site in BETA! Of course, there is tons more to do, but I would love to start getting actual users opinions on the site and turning Cliq into a cool place to hangout and express opinions, respectfully and intelligently!
Because this is a site in progress, I am open to any ideas and suggestions that people might have! Think of a good place to put them, and make your own Cliq! Remember, the sites designed to be dynamic and user controlled!
Facebook login won't work - but the regular login should still work for testing.
Thanks for the reply. So, to clarify, raised capital goes into the pockets of the founders? There is not typically a contract involved that requires company registration (i.e. incorporated), or suggestion on where to put the money?
Google started moving towards a more social experience from search engine by adding google plus.
Facebook started move towards a search engine from social experience by adding graph search.
They are definitely lined up to converge at a giant battleground, both coming from opposite sides of the spectrum.
Both will come with different strengths, however, Google's integration of its plus network is FAR superior, both technically, and in the sense of having a plan. Whether we use it or not, it is already stealing data from us, even if we dont know it.
IMO, google has no adversaries. FB is doing this for the fun of it.
it also takes the ajax roughly 3 seconds to run. So click every 3 seconds to ensure youre not cutting off a form submit that was going to take you to the ordering page.
It only leaves your cart if you refresh the page while the other page turns to 'out of stock'
So my advice is to not refresh the page. Keep 2 tabs open. If you get the 'there was a problem' message...go to the other tab and refresh THAT page until its back.
Then head back to the cart and continue pressing, "proceed"
Went to cart, clicked "Proceed" .. got "too busy" error. Waited a few seconds, clicked again...same error. Waited a few seconds, clicked again, and it worked.
