I'm a psychotherapist seeking to reach more founders to support in California. Previous clients have come from friend of a friend networking. I've thought about VC firms, but I'm not sure if an advisor/investor would refer their founder because there could be some stigma. Other idea I have is reaching out to peer groups like Hampton, YPO etc. I know exits, wind-downs, and departure suck and can sometimes destabilize founders on an identity level.
Any recommendations?
If you did therapy how did you find your therapist? What seemed right about them?
You know the answer. You have the data. But when it's time to speak up, you freeze.
That's the Comparison Trap—and here's the framework to interrupt it.
You're not comparing apples to apples. You're comparing your internal chaos to everyone else's polished performance. You see their production mode while running in debug mode. Every error visible to you, invisible to them.
