It is fascinating what kinds of things are making money for people/companies. I for example was shocked to find out how much the makers of LINE were making on sticker sales. I mean good for them.
I just find it fascinating how in this day and age an idea like this can make you a lot of money.
SPAs are definitely the future of web development, IMO. End users are growing more sophisticated and expect a web application to function with the same speed and responsiveness as a desktop application. Their tolerance for even the slightest delay is decreasing.
I'm still learning of all of the cool things that can be done with Powershell. So far, it's just been for server builds and configurations.
It would be great if, in the future, Powershell could be used for web automation. They already have WatiN, but you need to use C# to use it. While that is no problem, it would be great to be able to use Powershell for that as well.
I automated Windows and SQL Server installations / configurations using Powershell. I initially started with Ruby but eventually switched over to Powershell due to all of the things like being able to use .NET objects from within Powershell, etc.
If you work with Windows, this is a really awesome tool.

It is discoveries like this one that always makes me wish I had pursued physics or mathematics back in college. There are so many things in Nature yet to be discovered! Imagine all of the mysteries that await us in the future. Take, for example, the theoretical graviton particle. What will happen once it is finally "discovered"?
Thanks for the article; It is articles like this that make me want to go back to school and major in physics or mathematics.
My point is: It's absurd to be paying over half of your income in taxes, regardless of whether you are living in the United States or Sweden.
What is the incentive for someone to get a higher paying job then? Just to pay higher taxes? What is the point then? With that being the case, we should all just earn the lowest possible income then.
Those are all great points and credit to Sweden where credit is due.
However, please take into account that your country's population is nearing 10 million whereas the US's population is over 300 million.
What I am trying to say is: The programs that are working out so well for you may be much more difficult to implement in a country with a population the size of the US.

Looking back, I regret not having pursued a degree in Physics or Mathematics. I took the "easy way out" and pursued a liberal arts degree just to be done with college and move on.
In retrospect, it would have been great to have majored in something that, perhaps, may have been more difficult but more rewarding in the long run.
Therefore I suggest that, if you have the opportunity to do so, pursue your PhD. You never know when older age will sneak up on you and you will no longer have enough time to do so :)
It (StackOverflow) is still one of the places for me to get valuable information as well. I find Hackernews to be valuable in terms of news articles but StackOverflow in terms of finding out information that I need then and there (When troubleshooting servers, etc).
Why didn't usenet take off on the Internet? I was wondering the same thing.
