Since a few weeks I'm (re-)building FreshRemote.Work as some kind of fast + lean "remote job search engine". The goal is to make it as simple as possible while simultaneously give as much info about a job and/or company. All of course without any nonsense, bloat etc.
Some highlights:
- LOTS of remote jobs every day
- all jobs come directly from company ATS (so they're REALLY fresh)
- all jobs have a salary listed (no "guesstimates"!)
- UI is super-simple, fast, informative and works also well on mobile
- comprehensive tagging + search
Note: it's still kind of a prototype but lots of features and improvements are in the making for the upcoming weeks :)
Great to hear!
It's the usual suspects like greenhouse, lever, workable, successfactors, ashbyhq, recruitee, pinpoint, personio, adp, talentlyft, and many more...
It's all plain RSS feeds from a variety of over 180 sources atm. no Twitter input whatsoever (at least right now). Trends are basically determined by item views (popularity on the site itself)...
Btw. if you know a great blog, pod, YT or news publication in general that covers a decent amount of AI/ML-related stuff and has an RSS feed (see https://allainews.com/sources.md for sources already included to avoid dupes) - pls put it in the comments :)
The Earth Species Project (ESP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to decoding animal communication and translating non-human language.
ESP partners with biologists and machine learning researchers at universities and institutions around the world and we are honored to be supported by many forward-looking philanthropists and groups, including the Internet Archive, TED Audacious 2020, and the entrepreneur and author Reid Hoffman.
Our work has been featured on NPR's Invisibilia documentary, “Two Heart Beats a Minute,” “How to Talk to Animals” in Wall Street Journal’s The Future of Everything, “The Challenges of Animal Translation” in the New Yorker, published in Scientific Reports, and was honored at the inaugural Anthem Awards.
We aim to enable every person to more deeply understand our co-inhabitants on Earth and in doing so, to permanently alter human perspective and culture.
Purpose of role
You will join an incredible and global remote team, and will be responsible for developing pioneering research towards decoding and translating non-human communication, including extending unsupervised translation techniques and tackling cornerstone biological and computational problems on large-scale multimodal behavioral datasets.
You will work with biology and machine learning experts to create understanding from new scopes and scales of data.
As demand for skilled people in the Information Security field is growing and higher than ever, there doesn't seem to be a lot of sites that cater to this crowd exclusively. So I thought it would be great and helpful to fill this gap.
Hope it helps anyone interested in finding a job or hiring talent in this space, and also help newcomers to get a sense of what the market offers/demands or which roles require what qualifications/skillset etc.
Regarding finding solid jobs there might be some alternatives in certain niches, increasing the signal-to-noise ratio if you're looking for a job (or talent) in one of these, for example:
It says that they just launched recently and it'll take a few weeks until a usable dataset has been collected, after enough people filled out the survey. Download is disabled because of this (not enought data).

I think https://freshremote.work hasn't been mentioned here yet.
It's a bit of a newer site, but covers all kinds of remote positions worldwide with a clean and fast interface. Also provides keyword, category and region filters to narrow down a job search.
UPDATE: You now can set the radius (distance), moment (aka date from) and timeframe manually on the position page directly to improve your search without a user registration or being signed-in necessary anymore!
Usually, the IP stuff is used as a fallback to avoid the site to show nothing...
It seems like you're one of the unfortunate .1% where the geolocation stuff didn't work properly right away (or disabled in browser?). And we're working on that, thx :)
Ah, and in an emergency there's the third option: manual selection via the position page. With which you can also search around what's going in any other city you like - worldwide, or your own ;)
Some highlights:
- LOTS of remote jobs every day
- all jobs come directly from company ATS (so they're REALLY fresh)
- all jobs have a salary listed (no "guesstimates"!)
- UI is super-simple, fast, informative and works also well on mobile
- comprehensive tagging + search
Note: it's still kind of a prototype but lots of features and improvements are in the making for the upcoming weeks :)
Missing anything? Feedback's welcome!
