Is this a surprise to anyone? Capitalism is productive for the society in a strong democratic environment. When capitalist economy unites with authoritarian regimes, you get Godwined pretty fast and IRL.
As a user, I could not care less about a website that is so incompetently written, that it doesn't degrade gracefully enough when accessed with javascript is disabled. If someone chooses to cobble up such a site, it is almost certain they'll have the same attitude about their content (or service, if it is peddling something), so it is quite likely I don't want to be there in the first place. So, I don't whine as well, I just don't bother with it.
The premise is quite broken. The cold war was 'cold' because the conflicts were small and localized. Two sides exchanging ICBMs would be a global thermonuKular war, not a cold one.
Desperate autosuggestion is desperate. People with healthy eating habits don't obsess over whatever they eat for pages and pages; people who are not 'religious' about food don't pepper it with righteous words; people who are happy with their choice don't feel the need to justify it with a long, pseudo-philosophical rants on the Internets.

Not sure what is 'invalid' about the certificates, but if it is self-signed, it doesn't mean the setup is 'insecure'. Finally, nobody is guaranteed a secure setup, some of us still remember the happy times when the whitehouse.gov's email system was an open relay.
Two things I see: a) iphone takes a lot less to bend than the rest of the lot and b) bends/breaks at exactly the same places where it does in the pocket. This sort of confirms the user reports. Also, no torques were calculated, so it is really hard to tell which phone takes more to break.
The real pirates are the hordes of lawyers with the WIPO, IFPI and the like, as well as their national backers, who have subverted the public contract on copyright and related monopolies to carve a nice niche for themselves.
When talking of "piracy", this is the first problem that needs to be tackled.
I have rarely seen any content that is "sold". Even if you look at your drm-free vinyl record, it tends to say that you're sold the plastic, but the content is only licensed to you for the lifetime of the medium and that you're prohibited from making copies, publicly broadcasting it and whatnot. It isn't the DRM that's restricting you, it's the copyright law.
