Hardly anyone can sell a tablet at the iPad's price point and turn a profit at all. Does lowering that price point make the tablet market even more attractive?
On Windows, the only browser that consistently renders Typekit fonts legibly is Safari for Windows, due to its use of Apple's subpixel smoothing. I prefer the Apple style font rendering, which is one of the few compelling reasons to use Safari on Windows.
Agreed. The barriers to start developing a web app now are incredibly low. You've got a server backend in Heroku, wand Facebook's gazillions of users right out of the gate.
It's strange (interesting?) how an online presence preserves a person beyond death. When someone passes on, their Facebook wall becomes both a snapshot of what they were last doing and an impromptu digital memorial as people leave their condolences. Somber, but thought-provoking.
Yahoo Sports is an excellent sports journalism outlet and probably the only serious competitor to the ESPN monopoly. They broke the story on the Miami recruiting scandal, one of the largest NCAA violations in history, after doing extensive in-depth research.
