I don't see a problem with this. Growing up poor and being an african american, if I wasn't a self taught software engineer, I would probably be in jail or dead with the rest of my siblings. Growing up poor and having to attend local schools are a complete utter joke in this country. Only thing they prepare us for is gangs and jail. Looks like a lot would have to be done for this to change. And given what's going in trump's america, i doubt things will ever change. :(

if properly configured why not? What would stand in the way of implementing a secure containerized version of the workstation+gateway type setup?

i don't think that's a fair comparison given the likely hood of the reverse also being true. Personally I like to work at home when I have a huge complex task so that I can focus and spend all my time on it. I can easily when WFH start work at 8am and work til 2am because I can't sleep until big problems are solved. I also feel more inclined to hang back take my time to do needed research, where in the office I may not do that so It doesn't appear that I am just browsing the web. Overall, I can have complex tasks completed in a couple days WFH where if I came in to the office it could take weeks.

Do you have to believe that the sun orbits the earth in order to believe that the earth is the center of the universe? Is it possible that the Earth is the center of the universe given all light in the universe points in the direction of Earth.

so, what this article is saying is that while crime has gone down, the average offender has a much more extensive criminal record today than in the past? Doesn't that argument contradict itself? Wouldn't that mean that the real reason prisons continue to grow is that judges hand out more convictions for pettier crimes than in the past?
