There are many usability improvements that can be made to this for speed of slide creation.

1. For me, it's not a good user experience if I have to click a button on toolbar, that opens a popup, to click through categories, and select a shape. That is too many clicks. Why aren't they just open on the left side or somewhere, especially making it easier to select in widescreens. Keyboard shortcuts fix this, but there's a learning curve.
2. If I have to create 5 different box shapes with different colors, I have to go through that process 5 times. Yes, I can create it once and duplicate it multiple times, but there should be a recently used shapes or something that makes it easier to pick. Google slides has the same issue. Keyboard shortcuts fix this, but there's a learning curve.
3. When creating a shape, I like to drag it vs. click it and have it show up on the canvas. There is no drag option in Pitch.
4. Connecting two shapes using an arrow/line should be possible from the shape on the canvas, and not by creating a new line/arrow and dragging their endpoints to connect the shapes.
Sailing has really helped me get away from it all; 'it' being the stresses of work and life. Besides the allure of open waters and beautiful sceneries, getting out of a marina, unfurling the sails, killing the motor, and then just using the wind and the water to propel a boat towards a destination is one of the most gratifying feelings I've experienced.
And then there's the myriad terminology and theory, with the various points of sails, different types sails, fine-tuning their shapes for optimizing speed, navigation rules, man overboard procedures, various knots, etc. Those, with the occasional spray of salt water, the feel of the rudder, the way the boat reacts to minor adjustments keeps the activity exciting enough to not get boring and monotonous.

For me, it's a hopeless endeavor to keep track of stuff I want to read. So, if ever want to read something, I do read it right there, right then, or just hope that I'll remember that I bookmarked it somewhere and will be able to get to it at some point in the future when I have to. Depending on the device/site I am on, I do one of the following, and then end up never really coming back to it.

Yesterday was my last day at work at a Silicon Valley tech giant. The 680-Mission-880-237 commute is no more. Instead, a startup in Manhattan, a subway ride away from a tiny apartment. New city, new challenges. We’ll see how much I don’t, or do miss the Bay Area. Hasta luego as well.
Another interesting open source community driven project is Maslow CNC router [0]. I bought one recently although I haven't assembled it yet. It works on cutting large 8x4 boards. Another tabletop router CNC robot [1] is coming to market soon.
All this innovation in these inexpensive CNC tooling excites me as it enables a garage tinkerer to play with woodworking projects.

I have family/friends that visit often from Celsius using countries and every time the weather comes up, they ask me what xx F is in C. Tired of trying to answer them, I figured out a quick, ballpark conversion --
50 deg F = 10 deg C
For every 10 def F, there's roughly a 6 deg C change.
So (approximately)
40 deg F = 4 deg C
60 deg F = 16 deg C
etc.
I find that it works reasonably well for frequent requests from said Celsius understanding visitors.
I don’t think it is absurd. I think it shows he wants to know what goes into his cars and rockets. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had executives above me who had never even seen the products they were representing. I admire it when an executive can roll up their sleeves and get into it without being disruptive.
It should be fairly easy to detect a chevron sign with yellow and black stripes [0] and take evasive measures to slow down, brake heavily or change lanes. From my understanding of CNN neural networks it's a fairly simple classification problem (that A. Karpathy researched, and taught at Stanford; and he's now leading the AI/vision team at Tesla).
Looking at the video of the guy that tried that same route again, it looks like the sun was straight ahead (see starting 37th second of video [1]), and I am wondering if the camera had an issue identifying the sign due to the glare from the sun.
Do we know if this problem has been fixed now? Can the chevron be identified at the same location by other Tesla drivers today, months after the guy that tested it and posted the video of his car swerving at the same place [1]?
Following lane markings are never going to be a 100% reliable method for navigating roads. Even humans miss merging lanes, or have issues at complex surface street intersections where there are multiple overlapping lanes. But humans take evasive action.. they slow down, re-access, look at signs and probably get honked at.
Following other cars is never going to be a reliable method for navigating roads. I don't know what the guy in front of me is going to do! I keep my safe distance and take evasive action if the guy in front of me does something stupid.
I feel signs are most reliable in that sense. If there is a missing sign, a human is more likely bound to make a mistake as well. Maybe I am biased, because as someone who sails, signs (buoys, lights, colors, etc.) are what guide me in my navigation as there are no lane line markings on the water (not a perfect analogy because the speeds/traffic patterns are very different, but the point I am trying to make is about humans identifying the signs with muscle memory). A vision based neural network should be able to do the same.
I was able to use the "apps" to get obd2 data's. What I wanted to do is get acceleration, steering and breaking data and along with feeds from two cameras try to train deep learning models. Getting that working over Bluetooth or wifi was a pain due to poor documentation.
Excited about this. I've been looking for something like this for a while. Tried a couple of different types of OBD-II adapters from Ebay, but trying to get data from them over bluetooth or wifi was just a pain. Panda with a direct interface to my laptop will enable me to get all the information I've been trying to get from the OBD-II port of my car, specifically steering angles, acceleration and braking. Using them together with feeds from a couple of cameras, and some interesting applications can be hacked together.
