I can't think of many worse jobs than truck driving. Long hours, low pay, threat to lose your job from self-driving cars, high risk... These guys deserve a higher salary and they should start looking for something else to do IMHO.
Yep, I think the same way. I always prefer to spend a lot of time upfront on something and automate it instead of doing it over and over later. I try to avoid repetitive tasks as much as I possibly can.
The whole education system is broken. People learn at different rates and they should learn different things. Having dozens of kids in a classroom all trying to learn the same things is definitely not the most efficient way to teach kids IMHO.
Should be quite easy to implement, actually. Some stores have this kind of technology to track traffic. I think the problem is installing the cameras and the software, but that's trivial for an airport.
Awesome, this kind of technology should be used in ALL waiting lines. I read that the average person spends months of their lives just waiting in lines. This is ridiculous and should be fixed. Every store should have an average waiting time and they should try to minimize it.
No, I've tried it. I've really tried to like it, but it just didn't click with me. I know it's perfect for others, but it can never reach the growth of a platform like Facebook that is more universally liked. That's pretty much my point.
So what if someone's more intelligent? There was an experiment showing that super smart people don't have much of an advantage over smart people. Past a certain point it doesn't matter.
Most other human attributes that we perceive as desirable like height have their downsides (every extra centimeter takes 3 months away from your life plus many other health problems).
I see the opportunity more along the lines of removing health problems such as schizophrenia, etc.
Well the point is that the hackers picked a pretty good target. You're never going to convince me and millions of others that exposing cheaters is a bad thing, even to the entire Internet.
Once a cheater always a cheater. There's some kind of gaussian curve in this regard (like in so many other human attributes). Some people will never cheat, while others will cheat very frequently and most people are somewhere in between. I've done a lot of research on this, there are a lot of facts that affect someone's propensity to cheat including their number of sexual partners, level of education, marital status of their parents, children born out of wedlock, cohabitation with original partner, etc. etc. It's not that hard to find someone unlikely to cheat when you start analyzing the data.
I feel the same way. Cheating on someone is akin to taking a shit on their self-esteem. Morally repulsive that this happens as frequently as it does, so I actually feel great that many of that cheating scum is exposed and I hope their names are exposed for good. IMHO.
