I see someone read "Quiet". It all depends on the people on the team. Some people work great in the same room. Some people don't. You've got to either pick your people based on office configuration, or pick your office configuration based on your people -- I'll take the latter.
What's wrong with people in a language group discussing the nuances of the language? Isn't that what they're for -- focusing on the language it self and all it's singular glory!
It's because people will pay money for the iOS app. I've met many people who, when asked that question, reply "I just like apps. Any time I find some website that I like, I check to see if they have an app". It's some sort of cultural thing.
I'm a full-time linux user, but the touchpad + gestures support of Mac OS are truly superior and do affect my overall computing experience in a big way.
