For FHA backed mortgages the FHA changed the rules on PMI in 2013 where you are no longer able to remove the PMI after the loan reaches 78% loan-to-value and annual MIP has been paid for at least 60 months. For FHA mortgages finalized after June 3, 2013 the payments are there for the life of the loan. So can be worth considering refinancing once you are in the position to qualify for conventional financing and pay 20% down.
Haven't had a chance to take it for a trial spin yet, but I was wondering if there is anything in here for applications that have a limited lifespan? Working on a system right now that would have the need for a "central" application that would need to regularly launch subworker apps for a specific task (planning on running each sub app on it's own micro AWS instance) and then "kill it off" once the job was completed.
My issue on this one, and I emailed them a question about it on KS, is the privacy issues I see here. Before I'm going to trust sending a notebook full of private thoughts or business related content to an unknown company I need a pretty ironclad guarantee that the content is going to be handled appropriately. I love the thought of being able to refer back to my content digitally over time, but I don't dig the thought of some stranger getting their hands on my personal thoughts and being able to blackmail me with it down the road.
They said that their scanning partner is built with security/privacy in mind, but I need details before I'd just stick a private notebook in an envelope and mail it to some strangers, never to be seen again.
My understanding from a different question I asked on KS is that it's because their scanning partner is setup for scanning business documents and the process builds in proper disposal of the papers afterword (which if you don't want your papers back is a good thing, I wouldn't want my private thoughts floating around for anyone there to read).
From a strictly altruistic perspective that may sound great. From a realistic perspective the truth is a U.N. doctrine on cyber warfare would do nothing but make the various parties dig in deeper and work harder to cover their tracks. The world of CNO (CNE, CNA, CND) is nothing if not a step deeper into the shadow world that covert ops have lived in for decades. We are naive if we don't understand that all parties mentioned are involved in it from some perspective both Defensively and Offensively (the famous phrase holds true, often the best defensive strategy is a good offensive strategy).
