You underestimate how powerful suggestion / propaganda is. If you keep getting told you're a worthless person, eventually you'll absorb it into your own psyche.
This argument has no sway, because the passage of time has occurred since the Middle Ages. We no longer live in the Middle Ages. We will deal with what is unconscionable in 2019 using 2019 standards.
Equating literally a currently criminal act that negatively affects individuals we consider defenseless because of their legal minor status, to social movements that have found validity after it's initial dismissal is just not rationale. Unless the argument is that sex with a child should be socially acceptable.
Nicotine has never been considered an intoxicant, thus not relatable here.
This advisory isn't about telling people drugs are bad, it's about our society still frowning upon recreational intoxication and trying to scare people out of even seeing if cannabis or other substances can be beneficial to them.
LD50 for cannabis is debatable but many put it at close to a gram of pure THC per kilogram of weight, intravenously. To put it in perspective caffeine and aspirin has an LD50 around 200mg/kg.
There's a reason why so many people say no one has overdosed on cannabis. For someone who weighs 65kg, they'd have to ingest approximately 65 grams of 100% pure THC for a 50% chance of dying from it. 99.95% THC crystals sold in dispensarys go for around $90 a gram, so someone who wanted to try to test this theory would be spending around $6k in weed to try to do in one sitting
I agree with your general point, the last three generations of MBP keyboards are unacceptable, but just because something has "Pro" in it's name, doesn't make it professional or enterprise or mil spec.
They want you to buy the business product / enterprise product then. I know it sucks to be in the power user category, but part of the reason they have such limited upload channels is to prevent their networks for being used exactly how you want to use it. They don't want people running servers, they want your money to upgrade to an enterprise level service.
technically possible, would require a ton of upgrades to the infrastructure to support such a thing, and probably just not worth the investment for these companies right now.
Yes but none of those issues are fixed via extended validation of TLS certs. Extended validation was simply a cash grab and a human component to validating you are who you are beyond a domain name mismatch. EV process was the same as any other cert process, what ever company out there issues the EV was just doing extra leg work and making sure business registration paperwork was legit, etc. etc. It didn't make it more safe, it just added extra steps to validate ownership of a domain.
MITM TLS proxies and shady root CAs are and will continue to exist in the enterprise and for state actors for the foreseeable future. EV does not challenge this, in fact EV certs like any cert that's intercepted properly, the end user will never know that it happened.
It's hard but not impossible, and unfortunately in cases like this, innocent people being harassed is the point, to get nation states to be pressured by their own citizens to act the way the sanctioning country wants.
Good luck dealing with any US based company on this. Tech companies hands are tied here, the risk of not following through is being literally tried for treason.
Thank you for creating one of the essential apps for mobile devices to be able to use ssh.
I'd like to see Termius go beyond SSH. Add in scp / rsync support for file transfers. Add VNC / RDP support for virtual desktops. Or at least X11 forwarding.
Okay, how about making on call routine enough that nothing goes wrong during those on call times effectively making them unncessary. If you are constantly working while off the clock but "on call", there's something wrong with that picture.
