This is really cool; it'll be interesting to see it's application to feed style content as opposed to tables (in the discussion on the html5 version of facebook mobile rendering the feed was a major bottleneck)
This isn't to be used alone for clearing minefields - as it's not going to get 100% coverage.
It's still a useful tool for surveying minefields or perhaps doing a cheap first-pass before sending in pricey equipment

I'm praying that the retina display really does happen, not because I plan on buying an ipad - but because it will finally get laptop manufacturers to stop producing crappy 720p displays.
