There are travel restrictions all over the world currently due to the COVID-19 situation. People are not allowed to travel from one city to another in the same country without proper documents. Lots of countries are not even allowing international flights at this point. To tie this in just with US passport is simply politically motivated.
Maybe sell your startup to some investor and keep some equity stake and then join your friend's company. This will help you recoup some of the hard work that you have done as well as have stake in its future growth.
Maybe there is need for a startup that can pool the retirement money from retirees and assure them of a comfortable life style till the time they die. I think this will allow the retirees to enjoy their life much more rather than worrying about "what might happen...".
Keeping all our prejudices aside, it would make logical sense to settle these refugees in Arabic speaking countries. They won't have to struggle with language, customs and other infinite issues that come with being transplanted to a totally alien culture. Being closer to their home countries will also allow them to visit their relatives still in Syria and also for those relatives to visit them.
A portable and highly accurate blood pressure monitor which can take your BP at multiple times throughout the day, similar to existing wearables that measure heart rate etc.
I am still not sure why it is a good idea to let millions get displaced from the ancestral lands, having hundreds of them dying while trying to migrate and then the remaining ones living isolated lives in alien countries with those countries supporting them by spending billions of dollars every year and having culture and way of life changed forever. Compare this to taking on ISIS once and for all which numbers about 30,000 - 40,000 fighters. Wouldn't it be better to spend those billions of dollars and take on some inevitable loss of life and annihilate them forever. From where did we all start believing in the defeatist mentality that world cannot take on ISIS? That land belongs to the Syrians and Iraqis and not to some 7th century cult. The best solution is to return that land to whom it belongs rather than taking millions of refugees and creating problems from them as well as for ourselves. If you want to take in refugees then there is no end to it, billions of ppl would like to move to Europe or USA. Whom are you going to deny and on what basis?
"I noticed in the past that we should not encourage too much age difference because it's harder then to form groups that work."
Shouldn't a startup founder be then allowed to reject any 30+ candidate with the same reasoning if their company already has a bunch of 25 year olds? Can't you detect the blatant age bias in this statement?
