my first intenet connection was WLAN based. 10mbits unmettered monster. This happened in 2001 in Espoo Finland. I think it cost like 20€/month. Used some standard Orinoco usb wlan adapter. Only down side was that if it was snowing the link would die.

They are trying to get experts to move to helsinki. Mean while we have low wages for programmers and high taxes. We are wasting our money to "moral high ground projects".

I am planning to move away from helsinki for these reasons.
