The scientist who demoted Pluto was, in fact, Mike Brown (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_E._Brown), and he wrote a really nice book about it called “How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming”.
The problem is that your site is served through HTTPS, but the MathJax code is loaded via HTTP, and Chrome/Firefox refuse to load external JavaScript due to mixed content policy. The embedded images also produce a mixed content warning, but are still loaded because they are not a security risk.
Doesn't this second decorator only work with functions doing IO or releasing the GIL in any other way (like time.sleep() that they use in the example)? If all the function is doing is actual computation (i.e. using the CPU), no other code can run in parallel with it because of the GIL.
In fact, it's not. The paper you've linked is titled "Mindfulness reduces habitual responding based on implicit
knowledge: Evidence from artificial grammar learning", from September 2012. It may be related, but not the same.
