lucky you! In France (where we're located), the average referral bonus is 700€ - for any kind of company. We'd love to know about the size of your company and referral bonuses for other positions (to get a better idea)?
Would be interesting to see how these "types of titles" (How, Tips, Shortcuts)convert in terms of "time spent", "bounce rate" etc...
I guess that this is also really "Twitter" oriented. On other distribution channels like HN it might be different.
Last thing, I'm wondering if it's sustainable. So many "tips" and "shortcuts" articles are shared on Twitter nowadays. Maybe it's rooted too deep in the human brain :-)
#1 we sent 2 emails but too late (after 3 months)
#2 spreadsheets are fine until 50 - 100 users after we couldn't keep up
#4 we did get some exposure but really not enough compared to what we could have had
yep cannot see a pricing page. i'm wondering if they will be a pro offer. I guess for agencies it's important to know that you have a real business behind.
good question. We actually didn't have sharing buttons on our home + the fact that we had a really really minimalistic homepage for a long time limited the "viral" leverage.
that's an interesting question! The thing is that there is so much "plumbing" to do that a lot of the value is in the backend. Since it cannot be used by many many projects (we won't build thousands of email clients)the market for this open source model seems too small. My 2 cents.
Don't know these guys personally but I like the idea of using a small amount of money to separate motivated beta users from non ones.
That said their argument saying that it's a good method not to attract "Tyre Kickers" only doesn't stand so much. As a competitor I would specially be interested to pay 30$ to access a product from a potential competitor.
Great ressources for tackling public speaking. Though it misses an important part I believe: behaviour and how to express yourself while public speaking.
