I've been using Flurry for the past year and thinking of switching. I don't like the way Flurry presents data on their platform and the website is really slow.
Last year I made my first iOS app as a fun side project that solved a problem I had - waking up on time. http://spinmealarm.com
I spent most of my reading week making the app, and then another 2-3 weeks polishing it. A few months later I decided to post it on Hacker News as a "Show HN". It only got a few upvotes but a TechCrunch journalist somehow saw it and decided to write a post on it. It's done pretty well in the App Store, reaching #1 in its category at one point. Nowadays it hovers in the Top 100 Utilities category.
You know when you learn a new word, and then you suddenly start seeing it everywhere? You've probably been seeing the word your entire life but you haven't noticed it because you didn't know what it meant. This is pretty similar.
I've referred thousands of users to Uber and managed to earn over $100,000 in credits. I was only able to use $40,000 worth until they suspended my account for reasons unknown. I've been trying to contact their support for weeks now and like OP, they always ignore my messages and mark my case as "solved". Uber is fraud and more people need to know this.
Well..the same thing happened to my app one time. It only got like 4 up votes or something but somehow a TechCrunch writer saw it and decided to write a post about it.
