this was a weekend project that I wanted to share. If you know anything about the world of stage lighting, lighting software sucks. I decided to have Claude connect all of my lights, bypassing software, and it built a pipeline for creating automatic/AI-generated light shows.

Wrong. Money, power & control. If you limit what one can do if they don't have a vaccine, you create an artificial demand for the vaccine, thus driving profits through the roof.
Basic economics there.

100% agree. In Ford's case, it was a voluntary decision to attract and keep the best workers. In the case of federally mandated minimum wage, it's a threat of force against business owners who are otherwise acting peacefully and quite literally, minding their own business.
Raising the minimum wage results in:
- A raise in the price of products (hurting the poor the most)
- Firing employees
- Reducing hours
- Going out of business
- Outsourcing
I'm a business owner, and I'm not going to sit here eating up the cost of a higher minimum wage. The central planners don't seem to understand this -- or they do, and they ultimately want more people dependent on them. If that's the case, raising the minimum wage is a great idea.
And many countries are authoritarian shitholes who care more about revenue generation than protecting people. People don't need a speedometer to drive safely.
No mention of NuxtJS in the article or in the comments here. I highly suggest checking out nuxtjs.org (built on Vue) with the `npm run generate` command to generate a static site.

I'm all for voluntarily raising wages for your employees; that's a great thing. But if we see that Amazon is backing efforts to raise the minimum wage, we'll know Schiff was right.
As a YT creator with 200k+ subscribers, shit like this scares me. Fortunately, I do not put all my eggs in one basket, and YouTube is just one of 4 ways I monetize my business.
I run my own internet based business teaching full stack dev out of a bedroom converted to an office. My 2 daughters (5 & 8) are homeschooled.
It can be extremely challenging at times trying to work, but I am able to be in their life a lot more than your average dad.
I flew out to Cali to record a course last year and it was my first time away from my family for a few days. Before leaving, I thought it was going to be awesome to take a break from them. I realized just how damn attached I was to them during that time. I never experienced home sickness like that before. I was like a little baby.
I've created probably over 100 video courses, hundreds of tutorials (written and video), for networks like TutsPlus (Envato), DigitalTutors, Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com, and my own site / yt channel.
I've always been a huge proponent of example-based learning, and less about theory and generalized concepts.
Still, though, I think the online tech ed space has a lot of growing up to do. In time, we'll all wise up to provide better experiences for learning. Until then, for the most part, we're stuck with:
1. Google: "How to do X in Y"
2. Watch 3 different videos or read 3 different articles
3. Apply it.
4. Run into a snag.
5. Google / Stackoverflow
