Hello everyone, I am really interested in the "language-oriented" approach from Racket. But as a person with limited skills in computer programming (mostly scientific computation, read not a software-dev), I haven't been able to find a decent walk-through of how one would go about building a DSL.
I have many use-cases in mind for a DSL ( research projects and hobby). So would you know of some full-fledged (open-source) use cases where racket has been used to create DSLs ?
I wonder whether there are any examples not within the startup world but building your own personal “brand” (for want of another word), or competitive edge if that works better.
A lot of times its simply difficult to find what one really likes doing. But I agree that ones who do end up "succeeding" really follow the template you propose here.
That being said, running after high remuneration in and of itself isn't bad. Sometimes its just what you have to do because a lot of other people depend on it.
If I remember my Sanskrit correctly, it too has duals. But not specifically gendered duals. So two of them are going is written the same way irrespective of whether "the two" are male or female or neutral.
Yeah Sanskrit has a neutral as well. Makes the language much simpler. (In my opinion) .

Power laws can be produced using stochastic processes called sample space reducing (SSR) processes. Stefan Thurner from Vienna has done a lot of work on this.
I don't see why you say that french BD follow the same fate as some of the other things you talk about.
From personal experience, growing up in India we always had either Astérix or Tintin to read. Even some of the lesser known works such as those by Giroud were available.
Now that I have been living and working in France for 6 years, one possible reason for this lack of penetration of french products is the language. There is very little effort to actually make the products accessible to the world at large. Now we may discuss the merits and demerits of this but the fact remains that if we want our products to be known all over the world, we have to make it known to the world. And most of the world speaks English.
Repair cafés seem like a wonderful idea. However, does anyone of places where one could learn some basic stuff to repair electronics etc? I dont want to hurt myself or blow the fuse in my apartment
