Correct the work/life is way offset but what about those people who need to work two jobs while their partner is also working...
Lets be realistic, its hard no matter what job you have... anything is possible... its the stigma that is attached to having kids in the tech industry that is the reason why people need to read posts like this...
Hey man thanks for this post and sharing your story... as a father of 3(soon 4) people always are like "oh you have kids???" and think that it is almost always negative...
In the end, we always have to do what we have to do for our kids and whether you are in retail or in a startup its always gonna be hard... but you and I seem to be brave enough to take on that task...
It will be hard but it will also be alot of fun...
I have 3 kids and about to have one more in a month... people in the tech world act like its so amazing and different... get over it... no matter if you work in retail or work in a shitty work/life balance startup, its the same thing...
Just be thankful we make a bit more then most in the workforce...

Though, I would argue, at a javascript level that is what is happening... when you create a DOM, it can be broken down into a JSON data structure...
document.body.attributes returns all attributes...
document.body.children/childNodes returns an array of objects(and nodes depending if you use childNodes)...

Yea i got you... that example is a super basic one... But when creating a whole tree, would you want to do the same??? That is alot of createElement and appendingChild you would have to do...
daffl/dform is pretty much the same idea but exclusive to forms... I aim to enable a user to create anything...
And your right, it doesnt add a benefit that would make anyone decide on it... and technically it isnt really syntactical sugar due to the fact that this isnt exclusive to this framework... this is literally the same attributes/properties that creating elements via js gives you... in a way you are more extending if anything...
Although, I would add one thing and that is that the other reason I created such is so everything can be 100% js(trying to think maybe too OO). But I do like that I can create partials in node to include elsewhere if need be...
Also anything still pegged to jquery is kinda ehh in my opinion...
This issue was one that I was very surprised with when I first came here myself... I lived all my life pretty much in NYC (Bronx and Manhattan) and at one point it was bad as well but around the time of Giuliani terms', the total visibility of the problem had dropped... but like said from SJ to SF, it is something to get used to...
