I'm a fan of both PCs and Macs. Just way too much marketing and not enough substance here. Someone wanted their SEO juice from a blog article and they got it.
And you're right, it's not even native binaries. They really should've showed how fast image processing in Photoshop on the iPad was compared to Wintel.
It's just not even close to an apples-to-oranges comparison. Not only is it Rosetta2 but it's also Mac vs Windows binaries. They couldn't add in another variable to make it more different if they tried.
But if you were to build/buy a "AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X", I would check their numbers on geekbench.com. It seems like there's a lot of builds with the same specs and better numbers than even this. For the amount of money they're asking of a desktop, I'll check these numbers elsewhere.

Actually not a bad idea. You could also hash the salt and use it everywhere instead of the user's ID - anonymize the user from their own data. (If you used the password hash, you would just have to remember to update it everywhere on password changes - and of course use a hash of the hash so you didn't give away which hash was used.)
For instance, let's say I was UserID 123 which had a FK to a table of bookmarks or history and normally it would be easy to link that user to personable data such as Cancer, Job searches, Pr0n, etc. Now instead, you have a lot of these bookmarks pointing to a hash that was used in the initial user login and not directly linked in the database.
Typically in highly sensitive databases you hash out a new "ID" entirely and reference that. Then you provide a different service and database entirely that correlates two different identities when you need identification. This is similar to how PCI requirements for credit cards store the actual numbers elsewhere and use a token against the system for consumption.
I'm pretty sure the point is: make the most of the time you have and if someone else can do it, have them do it. I doubt the author was making the generalized comment that all these people are beneath him/her or that they are doing anything but wasting time that could otherwise be spent on more productive endeavors.
I'm pretty sure it's just a reminder of things you do day in and day out that are "wasteful". For me, it was TV.
On the flip side, time is money but sometimes you don't have money so you have to spend your time instead. Parking in NYC is expensive for lots so waiting for a spot on the street is sometimes the only option.
In terms of city planning, the other option is riding a bike and not having a car (well, I have neither and just use the subways). For people that choose to have a car in the city, you have a price to pay. That price is usually in parking.
How in the world is the author going to delegate, automate, or eliminate something stupid from your life to free up YOUR time. Each person fills their day with different tasks, many mundane but everyone is unique.
