I once interviewed for a senior software developer job at a startup where I would be the lead developer in charge of an international team and on call pretty much 24-7 for any issues. The CEO put me through a pretty rigorous interview process over 2 weeks. I asked about compensation from the beginning and he assured me that it was in line with current Silicon Valley compensation. When he offered me the job, it was as a contractor for $20 per hour. I was insulted and angry that I'd wasted 2 weeks of my life on this. Any company that won't be upfront with you about compensation is trying to take advantage of you. I'm glad this lady called them out by name.
Don't talk to cops indeed. They had a meandering 5-hour conversation and they still had nothing to go on, but ended up arresting and convicting him of murder for having mentioned a medicinal tea and because his memories of the hours surrounding the time of the murder (two years earlier) were fuzzy. All the while the guy had no idea he was even being interrogated!
Why would he verify that he is the creator? Even though Bitcoin is past the phase where the governments can criminalize it publicly they will surely torture him in every roundabout way possible for the rest of his life.
He seems to be owning up to it in order to protect others but I think he has no idea what he is getting into. They mention that his house was raided a couple of years ago but I guess that didn't phase him.
Is "promoting prohibited forms of travel" an actionable offense? Who prohibits this form of travel? Do private companies get to decide what is prohibited?
Also, linking to their websites? I just don't understand how suggesting ways/ideas for consumers to save money is fraudulent. Then again, Southwest airlines threatened to sue me for checking people into their flights, so maybe I just don't get it.

I bought my house 10 years ago, and moved out of my house 4 years ago and kept it as a rental. One day 2 years ago, I received a notice that a homestead lien was placed on the house.
Apparently the city had decided that I had never lived in the house at all. They placed a lien, with no explanation, no warning, and no avenue for appeal or even discussion. The lien, with interest and penalties, was about $10,000.
The first thing I did was to contact an attorney. Of the 6 attorneys I found in the area who dealt with such matters, 4 of them agreed to speak to me but all 4 had represented the county in the past, and therefore could not represent me. The other two simply refused to make an appointment with me. Presumably they have bigger fish to fry and are not interested in my case.
The lien still sits on the house, accumulating interest daily. I'm just thankful that they have not foreclosed yet and that it's a rental and not my main house. It's an impossible situation even for people with reasonable means but the poor and elderly are completely at their mercy.
Let's not forget about the legalization and destigmatization of birth control and abortion. Unwanted children born to poor and desperate mothers led equally desperate liveas and often ended up in prison.
Also the awareness of the hazards of lead, such as in lead paint and gasoline. A study showed the stunningly high lead levels in the blood of the prison population.
