Performance Predictions has built a suite of sports fan engagement solutions over the last four years, including the ‘2016 Rookie of the Year’ according to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association. With our new flagship game PrizePicks, (www.myprizepicks.com), we set out to build the most fun, fast & simple fantasy sports game possible. Since graduating from Private Beta this October, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, our members love the format and we truly believe we’re pioneering what will become the biggest category in fantasy sports over the next five years.
We are looking for a team player to work with our product, marketing and retention teams. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the PrizePicks mobile app as well as new and exciting application features.
* Proficient in React Native with some experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails (We have an iOS app in the store, submitting Android to Google Play Store Q1 2019)
* Familiarity with Expo.io, Graphql is a huge bonus
* At least 2 years of relevant work experience, developing applications in React, React Native, Ruby on Rails
* Strong knowledge of Design Patterns, Object Oriented Design, Software Architecture, Systems Integration Concepts
* Experience with the design and implementation of REST APIs and services
Agree with your point on the options spreads, but we wanted to gear our focus towards solely stock investments since that's the majority of the retail investor population.
You're right about AAPL being too expensive (back at $600) for the average investor and that's something we're beginning to focus on. We'd like to add more personalization so our recommendations take into account factors such as risk profile, age, account value, etc.
Again, our goal is to help less experienced investors make smarter investments over the long term and teach them "why" along the way.

We're trying to serve the less educated investor so we take basic fundamental analysis and automate it while making the insights more accessible to someone who is less financially literate.
It's interesting that you bring up personalization too because we're headed in that direction with customizing reports and creating recommendations based on factors like risk profile, age, and retirement plans.

It is meant for individual stocks as of now. We're hoping it serves pain points for retail investors who need some hand holding when it comes to investing smarter.
This is very interesting - thanks for pointing it out. I think one way we're working on being competitive is the breadth and depth of our research. Rather than just fundamental data points, we're working on integrating more complicated queries such as 'What's the weighted average cost of capital for $AAPL'. We view it as a great opportunity for automation of financial research.

We're definitely looking into interfacing with EDGAR as well as getting rid of the 'cashtag'. Mutual fund data is a great idea too - shouldn't be too difficult to tie in.
Fundamentally, PennyWhale is targeted at a different market. While Bloomberg is tremendously powerful, it's also very expensive. We think there's an opportunity for the retail investors here.
