This work of Xoring and using shared mmaps is not new and it was published in 2009 and 2010 by two separate teams. See the following papers http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1854288 and http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1640096

I am not sure how this can be patented.
