I'm perplexed by your inclusion of Argentina. I'm aware that most people from Argentina can trace their ancestry to various corners of Europe, but I wasn't aware that Argentina was more innovative than China or India.
Cincinnati has had a similar problem with some plots of land on the river, between the stadiums. It laid fallow for longer than I've been alive. Just this year ground was finally broke.
I will second this recommendation. I watch that video every time I need a motivation to keep working hard. I've never been much of a Starcraft player, but the way he explains his passion for the game and the dedication he has put into developing his skills is amazingly inspiring to me. Most of the points he makes about training for Starcraft can be applied to any other field.
You should add the feature of search for multiple cities at once. For example depending on the price I have flown out of the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Indianapolis airports. Believe it or not, it takes me about the same amount of time to get to each.
EDIT: It appears you include nearby airports as well in your search, but I would still like to be able to chose which are included. Dayton is included in Cincinnati searches and Indianapolis is included in Columbus searches, but I can't search for all four.
I am always fascinated by agriculture, but know very little about it. Do you know any books or other media that would be a good introduction to agriculture? I'm looking for something that explains what crops are good where, how many times you can plant a year, etc.
I hear this statement frequently when P = NP is discussed, but as someone not involved in computer science I have a hard time understanding it.
Could you explain what some of those consequences be? Does P = NP really need to be proved to achieve those practical consequences? Can't it just be assumed to be true and then see what the result is?
I'm really enjoying this site. You should improve the permalink feature though. I want to share some of these comparisons with friends, but its not very easy right now.
Perhaps number of speakers? Icelandic only has 320,000 speakers. I suspect it would be easier to control the direction of a language with that many speakers compared to French's 200,000,000.
Wow I'm surprised to see "The Mind Map Book" on that list. I was just about to buy that book from Amazon when I decided to read Hacker News first. Now I'm going to wait until Sunday to see if I need to buy it. Thank you for your generosity, this is a great idea.
