I saw the U2 show from the front rail at the Sphere. It was the single best concert I've ever been to of the uncountable shows I have seen. I don't love U2, either. The sphere is nearly magical to experience.
I left on day 4 of 6 combatting a MRSA infection. I left on 12/31 because the hospital could not tell me if my current insurance (COBRA) would cover the bills for days 5/6. Absurd. Turns out I was right in my estimations that the course of IV would suffice and also that the remaining days would not be covered. I feel like I 'survived' the hospital system, not MRSA.
Hard to imagine this won't end up looking like a private exchange without subsidy. Except in this case, the union is involved and would act as the arbiter of a "dues to benefits" model. I think this perhaps the only way this could work.

PM is one route and I did explore that at length. I found the same limits.
Instead I went into an area of healthcare technology that required someone who understood technology and curriculum. In my case the entry point was telemedicine. This led me to other technologies and I am now focused on what is called population health data and technology. Healthcare needs smart people who understand how humans use technology and how that translates to how people learn to use technology.
